Mobile data communication

Here is another field where the war between the two operators is going to take place. With the two operators offering both 3.5G network, with a better coverage in Kigali for MTN, threats are also coming from up and coming ISPs like Qubee and RDB which are supposed to offer wireless internet access in the near future. MTN started "hostilities" in May with a one month promotion, which was later extended till now, of unlimited data plans at relatively low prices (ex: 24h at 1000rwf). This looked to me like MTN was putting its network under test to see if it can withstand heavy traffic. Worked pretty well expect that with a 3G-enabled device I tested the speed several times and got between 4-600Kbps (theoretically 3G should go up to 2Mbps). I just heard Tigo is responding with a 3 days (from this friday till sunday) internet access at 500rwf (unlimited?not specified).....will keep an eye on it
